The Mahjong Hermit (麻雀仙人) appears in Ojanko High School to challenge the player to an all-or-nothing battle. If the player selects the correct tiles, they receive a bonus. However, if the incorrect tiles are chosen, the player loses a life. The player can also choose not to accept the challenge, in which case the game goes on as usual.

Inspiration[]
The Mahjong Hermit is a parody of Master Roshi from the Dragonball manga and anime series, who is also known as the Turtle Hermit (亀仙人). The Mahjong Hermit is almost identical to Roshi in appearance, except unlike Roshi, he does not wear sunglasses.
